The World Esports Championship (WEC25), held from 3–7 December in Kuala Lumpur, showcased the most diverse Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competition in the event’s history. This year marked a major milestone for both IESF and MOONTON Games, solidifying MLBB’s position as a flagship title of the WEC and a global esports phenomenon.
The MLBB Open Tournament delivered intense matches, strategic gameplay, and a display of top-tier international talent. Teams from across the globe battled fiercely, culminating in a dominant 3–0 victory for Malaysia over Cambodia in the Grand Final. With this win, Malaysia secured back-to-back WEC championships, reaffirming its status as one of the strongest MLBB nations worldwide. Notably, Türkiye made history by claiming third place, becoming the first European nation to earn a medal in MLBB at the World Esports Championship.
The Grand Final was officially opened by distinguished guests, including YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia; YB Tuan Adam Adli bin Abd Halim, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports; Mr. Vlad Marinescu, President of the International Esports Federation; and Mr. Muhammad Naim Al Amin, President of the Malaysia Esports Federation, highlighting the event’s national and international significance.

Indonesia Dominates Women’s MLBB Tournament
The MLBB Women’s Tournament at WEC25 delivered another thrilling display of elite competition. Indonesia claimed the championship for the second consecutive year, remaining undefeated throughout the tournament and demonstrating unmatched skill and teamwork.
The Grand Final featured Indonesia against Cambodia, a remarkable team that fought its way up from the lower bracket to the final. Despite Cambodia’s strong performance, Indonesia maintained its winning streak, cementing its position as the leading force in women’s MLBB esports.
